New quest
Mar 6th
My wife and I have embarked on a new quest.
The quest is to be free from satellite television, and still have enough choices of things to watch.
While we do not watch a lot of tv, paying $70+ for satellite tv is ridiculous. Sure you get 200+ stations but how many do you really watch?
So between streaming online content (netflix, hulu+, and tv network websites such as abc, cbs, etc) and an HDTV antenna from Radio Shack, we will cut the cable once and for all!
Regrets…
Oct 17th
We all have regrets in our life. I have a few too. One is NOT serving in the military. I had the chance to serve in the same Illinois National Guard unit as my sister Greta Kloos Dunn. It would have been such an honor to be the big brother serving side by side with his little sister.
I chickened out. I had another chance in 1996 to serve with the Tennessee National Guard. Again, I didn’t take it, and I have regretted it ever since.
Sometimes you just need to take a chance when the opportunity opens itself to you. You never know how it will turn out. It may be YOUR regret.
Someone sent me the link to this video, and I thought I should share it. As I watched it, I thought of my little sister’s casket with the American Flag draped over it, and the members of the military walking up the isle to her side and slowly saluting her, trying to contain my tears was useless then, and it was useless and I watched this video.
I pray for comfort for all the family’s who will be missing their son’s, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers this holiday season.
Welcome to my life….

As I begin on my new journey, I wanted a place to share with my family, my friends, and others who may benefit from my experiences. That is the why behind this website. I am not a writer or journalist, so my grammar may not be correct, but I will try my best to be a professional as I can.
Feel free to comment on anything I post. Just know that anything vulgar will not make it here. Outside of that, I welcome your experiences, since I cannot know everything….
Thanks for visiting!
